Ian McEwan is the acclaimed author of seventeen novels and two short story collections. His first published work, a collection of short stories called First Love, Last Rites, won the Somerset Maugham Award. McEwan's novels have received numerous awards, including the Whitbread Novel of the Year Award for The Child in Time, and the Booker Prize for Amsterdam. Several of his works have been adapted for the big screen, including Atonement, Enduring Love, The Children Act, and On Chesil Beach. His latest novel is Lessons.
