Diana Holmes is Professor of French at the University of Leeds and the author of many books and articles on French women’s writing, from ‘highbrow’ to popular. These include Colette (Macmillan Women Writers series) and her latest Middlebrow Matters: Women's Reading and the Literary Canon in France since the Belle Époque (Liverpool University Press).
