François Beaune was born in 1978 in Clermont-Ferrand and now lives in Marseille. He wrote several books including Un homme louche, Omar et Greg, and his latest, Calamity Gwenn. He also created Entresort, a gallery of characters embodying the world today. Beaune produces sound documentaries for Arte radio and France Culture, always with the idea of portraying people from their unique point of view. Finally, he leads an associative project, Histoires vraies de Méditerranée, which collects and restores the stories of the Mediteranean inhabitants, from which the books La lune dans le puits, L'esprit de famille, and Dans ma ZUP were produced.
