Natalya Benkhaled-Vince

Natalya Benkhaled-Vince is an Associate Professor in the History of Modern France and the Francophone World at the University of Oxford. She is the author of Our Fighting Sisters: Nation, Memory and Gender in Algeria, 1954-2012, which won the 2016 Women's History Network Book Prize, and The Algerian War, The Algerian Revolution. She leads the ongoing oral history project Generation Independence, a series of documentary shorts exploring the intersections of individual life stories and processes of state-building in 1960s and 1970s Algeria.
